Industrial Evolution Inc. was founded in 1993 by Bill Slyne, then 8 years with North Sails as an R & D manager in California. IEI has designed and developed many innovative systems targeting the processing of fabric and flexible composites with complex geometries.

North Sails was founded in 1957 by Lowell North an American sailor and Olympic Gold Medalist. North was an engineer who methodically focused on building sails that were faster than the competitions. Year after year, Lowell North and his team pioneered new innovative technologies that conquered wind and water, and won races.

 

Industrial Evolution Inc. is a distillation of a 30 year technical enterprise combining the engineering innovations of Industrial Evolution Inc. and North Sails.
